Crystal is a counselor who desires to reach individuals in a season of their lives that brings a feeling of hopelessness. Crystal believes that her faith, life experiences, and education have prepared her to reach individuals who can find a safe place to be seen and restored. Crystal's educational background consists of working with children and families in Early Childhood for the last 28 years, as she holds a B.A.S. from Western Carolina in 2014. This has prepared her to recognize, grow, and work with families to find solutions to correct situations. Therefore, after seeing the need to address situations involving children, individuals, and the family structure. Crystal began to pursue and complete her MSW (Master in Social Work) degree with Winthrop University in 2023, and she is now an LCSWA, which will allow her to bring a host of tools to the counseling field.
Crystal is a counselor committed to helping individuals such as children, women, and couples who want to learn how to become unstuck from life issues that seem to throw them off track. Working together, the client can learn coping skills, how to be proactive with setting healthy boundaries, and how to heal from past trauma related to childhood as well as adulthood. Crystal's approach is to meet each individual where they are in life and become the student to learn what is essential to the client. With this information, Crystal believes that she can assist the clients in becoming the version of themselves in which they can take pride and continue to grow.
Crystal is passionate about providing clients with a collage of resources that consist of educational and therapy techniques in CBT and Person-centered therapy, and she trained in Theraplay to build on the skillsets that are transferable and can be used in all areas of the client's lives. As a counselor, she understands that life is forever changing. Staying up-to-date on current information encourages her to seek additional training to meet the needs of all clients seeking her assistance.
